Elyse H. Stiner

Elyse H. Stiner is a workers’ compensation attorney with extensive experience representing injured workers throughout Virginia. After completing her bachelor’s in political science from the University of Vermont, she earned her juris doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law, graduating cum laude.

Ms. Stiner began her legal career through internships with the ACLU and the Public Defender, followed by volunteer work with the Legal Aid Justice Center. Thereafter, Ms. Stiner dedicated her legal career to representing injured workers and has continued to do so for over a decade. She is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Ms. Stiner maintains an active presence in state and national professional organizations. She serves on the Board of the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group (WILG), the WILG Membership Committee, and was Co‑Chair of the 2025 WILG Cherry Blossom Conference. Her service to the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Inn of Court includes roles as President, Immediate Past President, Counselor, Treasurer, Programs Co‑Chair, and Executive Committee Member.

Her accomplishments have been recognized by Virginia Super Lawyers (Rising Star 2016–2021; Super Lawyer 2022–2026) and by Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s Influential Women of Law in 2025. She received the WILG Rising Star Award in 2025 and was named among the organization’s Top 100 Attorneys Representing Injured Workers in the Nation. She is also a frequent presenter at professional programs, including events hosted by the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, WILG, the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Inn of Court, and defense seminars.

Outside her professional work, Ms. Stiner values time with her daughter, enjoys traveling to visit family and friends, and supports Kids’ Chance of Virginia. She is an enthusiast of live music and a dedicated follower of Philadelphia sports.

Ms. Stiner’s practice is guided by a longstanding commitment to public interest and justice. She is devoted to ensuring that the voices of injured workers are heard and that their rights are protected under Virginia law. She approaches her work with professionalism, civility, empathy, and steadfast advocacy.
