Legal research, writing, and strategy have long been the hallmarks of Brad Young’s legal career. Early on he served as a law clerk for two federal district judges, and his work included drafting an opinion regarding the admission of expert testimony that was ultimately upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court.
During his years in private practice he has written literally hundreds of successful briefs on a wide variety of matters including on the job injuries, and he has also had several appellate successes before the Supreme Court of Virginia. He joined HammondTownsend in 2014.
Brad was born and raised in southwest Arkansas, earned an English degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and then served as an armor officer in Germany with the U.S. Army. During law school in Virginia he chose to make the Commonwealth his home, and he has never regretted his decision. He gains great pleasure from hiking in the Shenandoah National Park.
